Muirton Boys Home -- formerly a great house -- is a child care facility for boys between the ages of 11 and 18, including those with mental and physical disabilities. It was established in 1978 to house 30 boys and sits on 29 acres of land which the residents use to maintain a working farm. The boys attend schools in the surrounding communities.
