For Jamaica Inc. and Bags N' Stuff Inc. 2015 Dinner/Concert Fundraiser

Press Release for Immediate Release
Fort Lauderdale, March 7, 2015 @ 6pm at the Historic Stranahan House in downtown Fort Lauderdale

Musicians/Artists: Dave Eggar- Deoro: Ariel de la Portilla, Chuck Palmer with special guest Dina Fanai and James Luk,. Arturo Tappin, Willie Stewart, Dean Frazier, Junior Jazz, 3B4Jhoy, and Handel Tucker, in addition to many others, will be donating their time and talent to benefit foster children of Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade counties as well as children in Jamaican orphanages.

Listen To The Call came to be after the Azan family, originally from Jamaica, saw firsthand the great need in Jamaican orphanages. Many children lacked beds much less essential items we take for granted. The Azan's oldest son, Alex, started a fundraiser in 2006, called For Jamaica Inc. to supply beds and mattresses to the children. For the past nine years 22 orphanages and over 1,500 children have been served.

The Azan's younger son, Adam, founded Bags N' Stuff. Inc in 7th grade in 2009. When he learned that children who were rescued from unsafe, tragic environments were put in facilities and given garbage bags for their personal items. He felt compelled to do something about it and came up with the idea for people to buy new duffle bags and fill them with essential items for children in these facilities. A simple thing like a duffle bag instead of a garbage bag can have a big impact. Bags N' Stuff have provided an average of 200 bags per year in the tri-county area.

This year is the 9th annual fundraiser for For Jamaica and the 1st annual for Bags N' Stuff and this year will be held at the Stranahan House/Laura Ward Park.

Each year the family along with a team of other volunteers return to Jamaica to help deliver the beds to the orphanages. This year the trip takes place February 13-16. Students will be joining them to deliver the supplies.
